Business Safety Week: 6-12 September 2021
Business Safety Week is supported by fire and rescue services, to make small and medium-sized businesses aware of their workplace fire safety responsibilities.
The aim is for such businesses to know that fire and rescue services will work alongside them, ensuring they comply with fire safety laws. It is also to make them realise that there is help and advice available all year round.
COVID secure measures, which were required to open some premises, may sometimes compromise fire safety measures, so businesses need to be aware of this. Nonetheless, it is important that businesses continue work to prevent fire damage incidents, which impact both them and the fire and rescue services.
Business Safety Week is also a chance for fire and rescue services to highlight and promote their work around arson, to also prevent false alarms.
